What is the Hart of BC Project?
Public Art inspired by the legacy of Johnny Hart whose B.C. cartoon strip, produced by grandson Mason Mastrionani and the entire Hart family, still runs in more than 1100 newspapers worldwide. Each sculpture, sponsored by people and businesses in our community, is uniquely designed by artists on our creative team, original one-of-a-kind works of Art to be enjoyed by residents and visitors during the “exhibition” period, and later to be distributed more widely throughout the region to brighten the environment with whimsy and magic. How long does it take to design a Dino Sculpture?

Who is Johnny Hart?
The creator of “B.C.” and “Wizard of Id” comics was a well-known and respected member of the Broome County community until his passing in 2007.
